The Memphis Grizzlies are not real high on point guard Mike Conley as he heads into the final year of his contract.
The team has been unable to orchestrate a trade with the young guard and will likely let him go via free agency after next season.
For the final year of his contract, the Grizzlies are reluctant to name him the starting point guard.
The Grizzlies drafted Greivis Vasquez in the first round of the NBA Draft with hopes he might take hold of the starting point guard job. (Read More…)

Memphis Grizzlies rookie point guard Greivis Vasquez may need surgery on his troublesome ankle.
Vasquez put forth a less than inspiring performance during the NBA summer league play, and his ankle injury certainly didn’t help matters.
He had trouble running the team’s offense, so he really can’t afford to miss any significant time.
It’s unknown whether or not he will need surgery, so that will determine how much time he may miss. (Read More…)
