The Memphis Grizzlies have announced that star forward Rudy Gay will miss the remainder of the season.
The team was hopeful that the forward would be able to return for the final month and the playoffs.
However, it has been determined that he will need surgery on his injured shoulder, ending his season.

The Memphis Grizzlies banned gambling on their team plane after a fight broke out between two players.
O.J. Mayo and Tony Allen got into a dispute over unpaid money resulting from gambling in a card game.
Allen wanted Mayo to pay up on his debt, and it eventually lead to several players getting involved to separate the two.

The Memphis Grizzlies have signed point guard Mike Conley to a five-year contract extension worth $40 million.
Conley has gotten off to a fast start this season, making believes out of the Grizzlies organization.
Still, this move seems a bit premature considering the club was thinking he might be traded or released not that long ago.
